The world was on the go in the
year 1905. Things were happening that would shape our nation.
Theodore Roosevelt was president of the United States. Construction
would start on the Panama Canal. Wilbur and Orville Wright was
finally getting off the ground. Albert Einstein was making history
in physicist and Oklahoma would soon become the 46th
state.
It was no different here in the
small beautiful southern town we call Canton Mississippi. Canton
was on the go. It’s busy streets surrounding beautiful mansions
was the sign of a royal City in new birth.
From Canton’s magnificent Greek
Revival courthouse built in 1858 and served as The Madison County
seat of government until it’s complete renovation in 1996 to the
beautiful surrounding homes and businesses, Canton was making it’s
mark in history. |
